[It's Mother's Day, so Yuna can be found in a couple of places around town throughout the day today.]

1. [Yuna's out shopping for flowers. She doesn't have a whole lot of money, but she's managed to save her allowances from Garviel for a few weeks and should at least have enough for a red rose and some carnations to spruce fill out the bouquet a little bit. Feel free to bump into her while she's looking around at the selection, or perhaps you're the one selling the flowers to her.]

Hmm... I wonder how many I should get. I wonder how many I can afford...

2. [Heading home, flowers in hand. They're currently just wrapped up in some tissue paper, and she's cradling them very closely as she carries them along. Every so often, she stops, sighs, and smiles wistfully up into the sky before continuing along on her way.]

Mother's Day already, huh...

3. [Once she's back home, Yuna immediately sets about finding an appropriate vase to put the flowers in. She fills it up with some water, carefully lifting the flowers out of their wrapping and spending a few minutes arranging them tastefully - red rose in the middle, carnations surrounding it on the sides. And then she takes the whole arrangement into the living room, setting it by the window where everyone can see it. Anyone paying particular attention to her while she's doing this may catch her whispering at the very end while she looks up one last time into the sunny spring skies of Mayfield.]

...Happy Mother's Day, mom.

[Then she closes her eyes for just a moment to bow her head and smile before going about her business for the day.]

[she waves a hand in a friendly yet dismissive way, brushing aside Yuna's words]

If it wasn't all right, I wouldn't have offered- trust me, I don't plan to buy that many anyway.

[A warm and genuinely thankful smile spreads across Yuna's face, and she nods happily.]

All right. Thanks so much! Oh, my name's Yuna, by the way.

[smiles back, the usual mask- just a bit distractedly]

And I'm Mami Tomoe- the pleasure's all mine, miss Yuna.

Nice to meet you, Mami-chan!

[Yup, instantly familiar with everyone. That's how Yuna rolls.]

Heh....but yes, please get as many flowers as you like. It's a special day, after all!

[Yuna gathers up a few more roses, but still puts some pink carnations in there for some color contrast. She fiddles around with the bouquet a bit, giving a satisfied smile.]

There we go! Just like the ones dad used to get.

Ah, what a sweet gesture....! He must be a nice man.

[distractedly looks over some other flowers]

Yeah, he's a really good dad, even if he is totally useless without me.

[Laughing while she stares contentedly at the flowers.]

It's funny how adults can be like that sometimes, isn't it?

He was helpless without mom there, so I had to...

[Oh, whoops. She got a little carried away there. Yuna stops a bit short of continuing on, waving her hand and trying to laugh it off.]

[Mami knows better than to press for details, and just nods.]

I do. As long as we all have someone by our side....well, it's easier to move through life that way. I think so, anyway!

Thank you! [sobbing...] Mm, was there anything else you wanted? Maybe something special that caught your eye?

Hmm? No, this should be plenty.

[Tilting her head.]

Yes, I'm feeling just fine.

...maybe a little hungry, if anything, haha!

Do you want to grab a burger or something? It'll be my treat.

[gurl she's classy- oh wait she eats fast food too]

[Yuna finishes paying and whatnot and then takes Mami by the hand, energetically dragging her out of the flower shop and toward the diner.]

[And Yuna happily totes Mami and the flowers all the way to the diner, taking a seat by the window.]

Two burgers, a chocolate shake, and...

[Looking back at her.]

I don't really have one, but strawberry will do just fine.
