[It's Father's Day, but that isn't going to stop Yuna from doing what she usually does... that is, at least until after she's cleaned her room up at home and helped make some breakfast for Garviel and Ryohei's drone.  Afterward, she can be found out and about in Mayfield.]

[Action; morning]

[Yuna's out for her daily jog around town, wearing the basketball uniform she stole from the boys' gym at Mayfield High.  Of course, she'll be stopping along the way to talk to any guys who feel like interrupting her.  She can also be found resting every so often, either just making walking laps around the park or sitting down on a bench to catch her breath.]

Whew... that was a pretty good workout!

[Action; afternoon; Rec Center]

[After her workout around town, Yuna's decided she's going to beat the heat by lazing about in the pool for a while.  She actually managed to find herself a not-entirely-unflattering orange polka-dotted bikini when she was out shopping with Rin the other night, so she's wearing that and just sort of floating on her back in the shallow end of the pool.  Every so often, she swims a slow lap back and forth and goes out to the deep end to do some diving underneath the water, but mostly she's just relaxing at this point.]

[Knock knock knock, 1446 Mitchell.  Yuna's here to see Negi!]

Negi-sensei!  Are you there?  Come on, let's hang out together tonight!

And what I was referring to you being athletic. You carried an air about you that you preferred to be more physical than magical. It's not bad, mind you, as a form of physical training would be needed in any and all kind of mage training. Should your magic be stripped from you, you'll have a back up ready.

Of course, if you're honestly interested in martial training, I would not be the ideal teacher but it would be an ideal suggestion to consider while being trained as a magician. Both your body and you mind will need to be conditioned.

You summon your weapon and change your attire? How... different, but effective none the less. Let me look at your handguns. Thankfully I can give certain pointers about that kind of marksmanship.

[Normally, Yuna might be a little more hesitant about handing over her artifact pistol just like that, but today is Father's Day.]

[And he'll start inspecting the gun itself with full curiosity. Summoned weapons are generally magical in their own right, and he has some experience with handguns so... he'll start to aim it into the air and looks for a target-- ah. That garden gnome will do.]

Let's see if I can still do this... naturally learned skills can't be taken away.

[And he'll pull the trigger to fire. Although he was aiming up, the gnome itself will have a bullet hole directly between the eyes.]

[The pistol is in fact magical, having been created by the contract itself especially for Yuna's use. She does look pretty surprised when she sees the gnome take the shot, though.]

A marksmanship skill that also applies magic to it. I call it 'Trick Shot'. I know that and other skills specifically for handguns as well as for swords. Seeing how you are adept to shooting, or so the impression I'm getting anyway, I would assume this would be quicker to teach you rather than magic itself.

If that is what you prefer, then this is what I will teach you. Seeing as you are well prepared and equipped and... dressed, I'd assume, then we will begin this method of teaching as soon as you are ready.

How goes your search for an amplifier?

I was kind of hoping another magic user would answer my phone call and help me out, but nobody ever did, so I haven't really found one yet. Do you think I should just carve one out of a stick or something?

[She thinks for a moment, turning the gun over in her hands.]

Or if I'm gonna be using shooting magic anyway, do you think I could learn how to use guns as wands?

Hm. Well honestly, I would say use whatever would work for you best. You know yourself better than anyone else, therefore, it is up to you to decide on that.

As for your guns, they work completely different than wands or other kinds of typical magic related weapons to use, but it can be managed. It is up to you to put the effort to make it happen.

Maybe I'll just start with a wand for now, then. I already know how to do that. And then I can figure out how to work up to the gun instead, I guess.
